End of Season Presentation
As customary, the end of the season brings with it Club presentation and end of season awards. Every participating player will receive a trophy for being part of the Club and their team for the season. Each team can nominate players for the following special awards:
- Players Player
- Managers Player
- Clubman
- Most Improved or Most Consistent Player
- Moment of the Season (MJPL Only)
- Supporters Player (Optional)
Players will also be awarded for long service by receiving a trophy / shield based on the number of seasons they have been with the Club. These are awarded on completion of the following seasons:
- Third
- Fifth
- Tenth
Following the completion of the season, Coaches will be asked to submit their nominations for the special awards, around 6 – 8 weeks before the presentation evening.
For awards that are voted for (Players Player and Supporters Player), there are many methods to obtain the votes, online (such as Google Forms), via polls in Apps (such as Spond) or through traditional pen and paper. It is important to give those voters advanced warning so they can consider their votes. It is recommended to ask for a first and second choice, to ensure that there are no ties. Coaches are responsible for collecting and reported the award winners.
There should only be one outright winner for each award.
The club will cover the costs of most trophies, this includes the following:
- Players Player
- Managers Player
- Clubman
- Most Improved or Most Consistent Player
- Moment of the Season (MJPL)
- Service
As Coaches, if you choose to opt for a Supporters Player (and any other awards not listed) the cost of a trophy is covered by the team and it’s individual slush fund. Trophies can be ordered from Seaton Sports, Wellington (01952 252259) or if preferred, other suppliers can be used but Coaches are responsible for sourcing. It is important these decisions are made early and orders are placed as we need to include these in the end of season presentation event.
All Lead Coaches are expected to present at the presentation and issue any awards given. Duties can be divided amongst coaching staff if needed.
The location, format of the event and team time slots will be provided by the Club Secretary.
Kit Collection
All Coaches are expected to collect any playing and training kit from players that decide to leave NC United. Any kit collected should be retained by Coaches for any new players joining the team (subject to 2 year rotation). If these are surplus to requirements then Coaches should look to redistribute to other Coaches are return to the Club House.
